About
GAME CHANGER PRODUCTIONS is an independent production company created by Jamie Harvey, Polly Courtney and Alison Palmer, based in London, UK. It specialises in feature films, documentaries and scripted TV, with a focus on untold true stories about people who have done inspiring things to change the world for the better.
POLLY COURTNEY | WRITER/PRODUCER
Polly is a producer and writer whose work focuses on scripted fictional adaptations of true stories. Prior to setting up Game Changer, she produced book trailers, before moving into film and TV. In 2019 she co-wrote feature film UNTAMED, the story of William Shakespeare’s ‘lost years’, directed by Justin Chadwick. Her second feature, LET US PLAY (StudioCanal/Potboiler/Miraj Films) tells the story of the first women’s football league in England and she has various film projects in development, including THE POWER OF ONE, Paula Kamen’s story of Asian American activist Iris Chang, ETON OF THE EAST, Terri Ochiagha’s coming-of-age story about Africa’s father of modern literature, Chinua Achebe, and LILY, the story of England’s foremost female footballer Lily Parr. She has a passion for telling big, untold stories through the eyes of ‘the little people’.
Jamie is a former television news journalist turned award-winning writer/producer. In the late noughties, you may have heard his voice on ITV or reading the sports news on various commercial radio stations. But, wanting the freedom to be more creative (and making things up was still frowned upon in journalism back then), he moved into the world of narrative feature film production. He has produced/co-produced numerous features including EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED TO TELL MY DAUGHTER ABOUT MEN (2021), an amalgamation of sixteen shorts, each directed by a different female director; MY HOUSE (2023), starring Mirren Mack and Francis Magee; COTTONTAIL (2023) and FIREBRAND (2023) for Magnolia Mae; LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT (2025) starring Jessica Lange and Ed Harris, DADDY’S HEAD (2024), ODYSSEY (2025) and ETERNAL RETURN (2025). His latest film, APART FROM HER completed principle photography late 2024.
Alison is an award-winning producer with 20+ years of broadcast production experience, her work spanning film, TV and documentary. Prior to setting up Game Changer she was Development Producer on Channel 4’s groundbreaking documentary WHEN FOOTBALL BANNED WOMEN (2017), where she built on existing relationships with Lioness icons such as Jill Scott, Alex Scott and Ellen White. More recently she produced CHILDREN OF THE WICKER MAN (2024), in which she helped to discover the uncredited woman behind the folk horror classic. She is currently in production on feature film AN ILL WIND (2026). As Creative Producer, Alison sources, develops and delivers universal human stories from the worlds of sport and the arts, never losing credibility or the support of the communities in which she finds them.
